Not as high as a Vette, though.
Which 'Vette
ANY Vette. Big V8 power, rear-wheel drive, fiberglass body. That is not a recipe for traction in the snow.

I think I'd prefer the latest-model 'Vette over an Esprit in the snow. The weight distribution isn't as bad as it could be, since the C6's transmission is at the back end. The C6 also has traction & stability control systems and anti-lock brakes.

The Esprit is a true mid-engine design, but the rear end is definitely heavier than the front...Oversteer/spins can be SCARY when the back-end breaks loose (scared myself pretty good on DRY pavement a couple of times before I got rid of the old stale tyres). It's an old-school exotic car with NO high-tech systems to keep you out of trouble.*

*Well, except for that super-secret submarine system...but Lucas made that so I don't trust it! :)-

Veg was kind enough to bring the Lotus over and let me drive it a few weeks ago. Great experience. Hugely responsive car. Talk about being "one with the machine". I never had to actually wear a car or put it on as opposed to just "enter" it before. Not even my wife's Miata.
