RESOLVED - The edit feature.
Can the time be extended before lock out please? The feature doesn't stay active on a post for long...I was thinking, maybe a week, in not indefinitely active?
Cheers, Steve

Yes, I too, would like to see it extended more.

Re: The edit feature.
Probably because in all past versions of the forum (as well as in every other forum I've ever seen anywhere) the edit function is always available. It's simply what everybody is used to.

Re: The edit feature.
I think Matt's concern is no longer relevant, given the non-appearance of a certain poster. I'm used to having an edit button. It is a universal convention that a reason is given for editing a post, at least in polite internet society. Some forums have a 'Reason for editing:' line when a post is edited to encourage this.
Perhaps there could be a poll on this?
ps: loving the new forum. Thnx.

Re: The edit feature.
Kelley I guess you must have changed the setting, I notice I can now (apparently) edit all of my posts no matter how old they are.
Thanks!
And thanks for all your hard work migrating to the phpBB. Same to Matt.
