Did I mention it's a Motorsport ?

Post by Sunbeem »

Duane, I would like to agree with you, BUT :-
Having recently discovered that a mere 200 Motorsports entered these shores, Folie de Grandeur has me firmly in its grip, and I intend to buy some blue duct tape for patching my seat cover.
Regardless of expense.

Ah, Gertrude's new abode looks very comfortable, Sunbeem. And I like what you have done with the once-collapsed wall.
I had to look up folie de grandeur. Having found that it means 'delusions of grandeur' or 'megalomania' I intend to find a use for it this week. I'll let you know how I get on. I was thinking it might refer to 'grand folly' in the architectural sense - something that always gets a grin out of me. Not enough of that sort of thing these days, I think you'll agree.

Delusions of grandeur. Now there's something I can relate to.

I can endorse http://www.gorillaglue.com/tapes.aspx as an excellent upholstery material, having used it for a complete seat on Betty, my winter /5.

Edit: Unfortunatly I don't see it available in blue. :(

Wait a minute 'Beem...you're telling us that rather than trash the old reliable, seen many miles on with my arse "original" seat that you will merely use the blue duct tape to return it to functional use? :o

Rather then spend the gazillion $$$ for a "period correct" masterpiece for the throne? My god...your're my kinda guy
