Aw shucks Airbear. Now you've gone and made me blush. Luckily there's only Giotto, my dog, here to see it. And he's seen me do lots more embarrassing things than that. The rascal would tell if he could, but his English vocabulary seems to be limited to "rough" and "roof".

So, you exercise other people's complete control. That is quite a trick. I'm going to have to start working on that, as I don't think it is a skill I've mastered . . . or even experienced . . . or even understand how and what it is.

I've decided to put the hammer and punch away (for now) and buy a transmission shimming plate from Cycle Works.
I could not find one in Aus.

Measuring my shims that were in the tranny have shown that they are sort of unusable, giving different measurements.
Fortunately, I bought two of each thickness new shims (8)
Interestingly, measuring the new shims individually gives me thickness differences of up to .03mm. WTF?
The shims from Motobins also measure overthickness mostly. Supposedly .28mm are measuring average .32mm etc.
I guess that doesn't matter as such.
I'm supposed to get end float measured in atoms and I get asteroids to do it with?

This is quite difficult for such a thorough, and proper procedural person to deal with.
