That's where the flare gun comes into use.
Some spares I'd like to have had for my one and only RS terminal roadside breakdown in 18 years include a spare head, piston and 1/2 a top end gasket set.
A hammer and chisel have got me home every other time. And a centre punch.
Oh yeah, there was one time when a straight pair of forks would have been handy to have.

And, what a fine job you have done of proving yourself thoroughly guilty of exactly what I was talking about. You think all women are like the women you choose to have a relationship with? Open your eyes . . . especially the next time you're looking in a mirror.gspd wrote:DUH! This is getting kind of personal for a public motorcycling forum, but my life is pretty well an open book and I don't care about what people think about me. Who are they to judge? I know who my true friends are.Major Softie wrote: You think all women are like the women you choose to have a relationship with?
I stopped having 'relations' with women that I don't like (or that don't like me) when I was about 25.
I'm not rich and I'm not as young as I used to be, therefore I can no longer afford to 'choose'.
When a beautiful woman chooses me I go with the flow until it becomes more of a chore than a pleasure to be with them.
Whenever and wherever I see a strikingly attractive (a 10 to my eyes) woman, I 'm not at all shy, I jump right in and make the first move even if I figure I don't have a chance. Sometimes the attraction is mutual and I get lucky;
99% of them shoot me down (I am actually starting to enjoy rejection).
I just go with the 1% that like me. I monogamously treat them like a princess and give them all the rope they need to hang themselves (figuratively speaking). They always do eventually. ( I have a 'one strike, you're out' rule and stick to it).
The WORST case scenario I can envision is being trapped in a passionless relationship with a matronly old woman.
I don't need or want somebody to get old and die with. I prefer someone to feel young and alive and enjoy today with.
I feel sorry for the (all too common) average guy who is trapped in a passionless and loveless life of convenience with someone they settled for because they didn't want to end up alone or figured she's the best they can do.
You guys know who you are.
When's the last time you kissed and made love to your woman with the same intensity as when you were on your honeymoon?
When's the last time you spent every moment apart anticipating that kiss?

Re: top tool kit additions....
Thats seems so true for me, bu there is not one truth, but many truth.
I live a nice life with my whife, but if it wasn't that, I'd rather to be alone.
Some mens feel better with a not so good relationship with their whife, GF etc, but prefer that than to be alone. I respect also this way of life.
The most important is to feel as the best we can in our lives
Oops what about tool kit ?
I love this simple tool for points and under tank MC air heads

Ah Claude, you are a romantic! So am I, but I have settled down, at least for the moment. Show me a beautiful woman and I'll show you a guy who's tired of fking her. You are addicted to love! It is the ultimate drug, the ultimate ride, the best life gets, but really, to be consistent; shouldn't you be riding a Ducati instead of a matronly old motorcycle?
Any and all disclaimers may apply

My matronly old GS doesn't care if I test ride OTHER motorcycles regularly just for an adrenalin rush.Zombie Master wrote: shouldn't you be riding a Ducati instead of a matronly old motorcycle?
Also, it's appearance and performance has IMPROVED since we first met; It looks better to me than it did the day I first 'uncrated' it and it never tried to change anything about me.
It's electrical system doesn't go wacko on a monthly basis.
If I ever do decide to trade it in for a newer model, it won't take half my stuff.

Ah, but I'll bet you have made many attempts to change it, and I doubt it has resisted those attempts. Yet another difference.gspd wrote:Zombie Master wrote:It looks better to me than it did the day I first 'uncrated' it and it never tried to change anything about me.
