I was planning to swap the heads this weekend on my '89 R100 but I've forgotten to order the barrel stud O rings.
Are these just ordinary O rings that I could buy from my local auto store? - if so what size are they?
Cheers

Re: Barrel O ring size
Bring the barrels with you to size them up. I'd be a bit surprised if your local autoparts store had them. You may wish to try an O ring supplier. We have (had?) one in my city that carried what seemed to be every o ring ever made. They were not really a retail operation but didn't mind folks coming in to find the tough ones.
No chance you can get to a BMW dealer? I would think most would carry them in stock.

Yes, it's amazing how much cheaper they are from the places that don't have them.DucatiPete wrote:Yeah, and they're prolly $5 each!motofly wrote:No chance you can get to a BMW dealer? I would think most would carry them in stock.

I managed to buy some Nitrile ones off Flea Bay , £2.50 inc delivery for 25,pretty much what I would of paid for just the postage from a dealer for 1! - but they didn't turn up in time for the weekend - never mind as I trashed the bike on the Friday of that planned weekend- lucky I hadn't put the new heads on!
