Ahhh........ go chase a dingo. And I'll bet you're faster than Wobbly, though I'm, sure he's faster than me on my KTM.

That's not the only downside. There is also looking like a tool while riding your MC wearing blaze orange as if you were a deer hunter or something. Almost as bad as riding a scooter. Appearances are important! What's a little road rash, as long as you look cool while not wearing hi-viz gear. ;)
Wobbly wrote: Sun Oct 01, 2017 5:25 pm Back to the Hi-Viz jackets... the only down side is that they show grease and oil really fast. If you're a "neat-nik", then you might want to study the washing instructions before buying. And make sure not to use your jacket as a dipstick wipe.

I can afford any accessory, but I buy most of my stuff (helmets being the only exception) off CraigsList. I usually pay ~$25 an item, that way I can have a complete 4 season wardrobe for next to nothing.

;)

I can wear full, high-viz gear:

I can ride a scooter:

What I can't do is ride a scooter in full gear.

I sold the scooter.

I know I am probably wrong, and even possibly stooopid, but for me -
Blundstones and a leather jacket or my Belstaff Trialmaster.

Sounds like a good look, and somewhat protected. But you can do much better in crash, and weather protection. Best protection from other road users, is not being there. If they're not there, they can't hurt you so run away, or back way off.

I still remember GSPD saying "pretend you're invisible".
I tend to ride like there is a contract on my head. :)

The only real drawback to the CBR250R was it's inability to comfortably ride faster than all but the looney-fast cars.
And that is the only time I feel safe on a bike in traffic.

I agree with Dougie, no Hi Viz for me. Leather or a Belstaff. Had to figure out what a Blundstones was, after Google, they are the same as what we yanks call a Romeo style shoe, which I wear.

Blundstones? Romeo's?
Are you guys serious?
If they don't protect the ankle as much as possible, they should at least not come off easily.
IMO, of course.
