Oh I know, and absolutely no offense or disparagement was meant by my response.

Young people are too quick to ask for a group opinion or consensus on some things. What I was trying to point out is that measurement conversions have one and ONLY ONE correct answer. This is not a "what shall we have for breakfast ?" type question. And being such, it's much better to teach a man to fish, then to give him the fish.

Even as a design engineer, I never tried to remember conversion factors. You're always better to be exact with numbers, so this site was always bookmarked and ready to reference. So if my life depended upon it, I couldn't tell you how many furlongs per fortnight are in a Km/Hr !!

(But I can tell you how many US fluid Oz are in an Imperial pint of Guinness. :lol: )
