I said that once to a man who had just gotten out of his car that he parked in a handicapped zone. It was near a crowded restaurant. He had no response. Tell your sis that she's not alone.

On some levels I liked the story. I was bugged by the author's dwelling on his size, his Texanism, and how intimidating he is. If it had been the kid (man) who said those things, it would have come across better for me. I'm not saying I could have written the story better. That just didn't flow for me.
