starter issue

Hi, sorry for delay in reporting back - I finally got back in the garage at the weekend, removed the starter motor and found that the gear mechanism was indeed stuck in the 'engaged' position. I flicked it back in place with a screw driver and put a little oil on the shaft. I then ran a bench test on the unit as per MMM's Boxerworks youtube channel and it worked fine, engaging and disengaging. I put it back in the bike, with the new 60A relay, nervously re-connected the battery and joy of joys there was no unwanted noise from the starter. The bike now runs fine.
