The only time I have experienced claustrophobia was when I tried riding to Ken's one Fall with the rain liners in my Motoport Kevlar pants.
I stopped midday for lunch after riding less than 150 miles and battling serious winds from the South (do you remember that one, vanzen? You made it, I didn't.). I was traveling West on I70, leaned way over to the left and bouncing all over the road.
I couldn't get those pants off fast enough!
They also make dismounting really difficult after being in the saddle for a while. That is the sort of thing that makes a Brown sidestand worthwhile.

It looks good but it's outside my budget She''llbeShe'llbe wrote:I've got Olympia mesh gear. Rode it down to Tumut last September, it was cold and wet. This gear kept me very warm and dry!!!! It's also great in 35*Celsius.

I'm not modern when it comes to summer apparel.
Black leather jacket and black leather pants. And an RS of course.
The trick is to unzip the jacket half way and stand up on the pegs, leaning out over the screen.
Another trick is to stop at every pub.

I'm with you Jeff. I also prefer high-tech solutions. Like the breeze drifting through my jeans.ME 109 wrote:I'm not modern when it comes to summer apparel.

I've spent most of my money on women, motorcycles, and beer.
The rest of it I just wasted.

Yeah - I was living with my sister at the time and had finished paying off all my junk debt - and was still unaware of the financial nightmare my ex had gotten herself into (buying and trying to keep up an ancient house on $9/hour).Sibbo wrote:Those Motoport jackets look good ...but man ,they're expensive .
Since she still puts a roof over our daughter's head, and because I just think it's the right thing to do, I've been throwing a lot of that available money their way since I bought that gear.

I'm on a Carer's Pension .My wife and I look after my disabled daughter and her two girls ,it's fun but doesn't leave any time for paid work so dollars are sufficient if I'm gentle with them .

Just because you're on a diet, doesn't mean you can't squish your face in the bakery window

I haven't got to use my hot weather gear this year, cool summer...so far. I've got a Joe Rocket perforated leather and mesh jacket with armor. I find the Joe rocket stuff to be inconsistent quality. I buy JR stuff in the winter when discounted. Last winter I bought a pair of Triumph Raptor mesh and Cordura armored pants. Probably made by Joe Rocket. Living on the coast presents the problem of starting off cool, heading in-land and getting overheated. I'd rather get cold than hot.
