Hi Steve,
I have a 15 litre tank that airbear gave me a few years back,
I had the dent taken out (some fracas with a sheep I believe) and the tank undercoated,
its been sitting in my shed ever since, waiting for ...... an idea ..

Hey, a little gas tank strangeness is needed sometimes, I just had Ross Thompson customize a Norton Hi-rider tank that's gonna make Norton purists heads asplode!

Back in the day we hated the chrome junk. We removed them ASAP and glued on rubber pads. Hard to believe that anybody would ever want that cheap stuff on a BMW.

I like the way my Toaster tank looks and since I'm not a "big distance guy" it doesn't bug me to have to buy gas more often.

What bugs me is when riders call their bikes a Toaster, as if it was some special model, and all it has is some chrome trim.
I had a 72 R75/5 with the chrome tank covers. I would have rather had the larger tank. Great bike though.

I keep a plastic toast slice that one of my Kids got with a toy set tea with toast
when I attened a rally a chromey owner pisses me off I give them the toast
Distance is my call card
but my days of BMW owner ship is comming to end

Calling the bike a "toaster" is sort of new. When I left the BMW arena back in 1981, nobody called it a toaster. When I returned in the late 90s with the advent and popularity of the Internet, I discoverd this new moniker. At first I didn't even know what it was. I was even more surprised to find that some even liked the long despised cheap flimsy tacky useless POS.
I should stop sugar coating how I feel about it and go with the flow.
