Still no luck, but I haven't posted any wanted ads anywhere yet. I'm in Sicily at the moment and don't get home until the 26th or so, where I can search a little more readily than via laptop only. Vech's responded and said they don't carry them, so I may be looking at NLA for now.

Ok, so just for reference, Blue Moon now carries the door, attaching hardware, etc. Recieved it in the mail last week. 
I also grabbed a conversion kit to swap the steering head bearings out for standard style bearings. The frame is out for powdercoat, and the wheels are ready to go to Woody's once I get my boat sold. I've been taking lots of pics and will put together some sort of thread once I get a little more progress...hopefully I'll be in business sooner than later. Thanks Duane for the hint on punching out the pesky steering head lock...and all the other info I've gotten from your page between this R69US and my R90/6. It's been invaluable to a BMW newbie
