That old shelter is on the east side Charlie. There is a more substantial hut about 50 metres away from it.
There are two main river flat areas, separated by the river.
The shelter in Charlies pic is at the northern end of the southern river flat, near that little loop at the end of the track.
The northern end of the northern river flat has an excellent hut as well. The best swimming hole is very close to the hut.
The swimming hole is about twelve feet deep of clear mountain water, fuck we're spoiled.
And there are some fine trout to be caught and eaten. Smoked, fried, baked, sushi,
Don't forget to bring the aerogaurd! there are some big ass march flies there.
It is indeed a superb area at the foot of Australia's highest mountain, Mt. Kosciusko. It isn't too hard to get higher than the mountain tho' when camping there.
Geehi is within two hours ride for me so it's easy to take a fine spread of food. A fresh mountain trout added to the spread is something a Japanese tourist would pay $10,000 for.



There's even a river crossing for the brave.

There appears to be another hut at the top end of the plain, to the left side with a green roof. Quite hard to see. Is that the one you mention Jeff?
Access appears to be directly from the dirt road to its right and there appears to be some wide bits of river there to!

Yeah, better give those other blokes a call, although some people do get awfully carried away getting busy at our major christian event of the year. Funny how non-christians get carried away like that.

Steve, that's another hut again. Not sure of the name of that one. There are more trees around that hut. It was damaged in the fires but was fixed up again.
Geehi hut which is near the shelter in Charlie's pic was also damaged and had the roof and floor replaced.
I think there were more than five huts built in the fifties for fisherpeople.
