I'm quite fond of the Avon Roadrider I just put on the rear of the RS.

Seems 'smoother' than the Metzler it replaced. (Balance issue?)

IIRC it was quite a bit more expensive than the Metz.

I was going to try a Michelin PA but none were available at the time.

I still get a little deceleration wobble/shake, though. (must check the head stem tension, but I suspect it's OK)

Do not over tighten the head bearings. That silly rule of it falling over to each side at some rate is just ignoring reality. Depending upon the drag of cables and wiring this rule just doesn't work. Learn to grab the forks with the front wheel in the air and pull. You can feel play, so just take up the play and maybe a few degrees more.

Too many end up with too much tension on the balls and ruin them quickly. The reason that tightening the head bearings will sometimes fix a wobble is because the tight bearings act as a steering damper. That is not the purpose of bearings or the way to fix a wobble.
