That's why I asked about the paint. I don't want to take a chance that it will look like a (typically) bad boob job. Or, to put it into different terms, well, that is just about perfect, why should I try to put it into different terms?

Also somewhat complex is the issue of how the tank pinstripes rise to meet the pin stripe at the seat cowl.

I think it is important that there be no clear coat if you want an original look and feel.

I've always thought the silver smoke is much like the Rapala lure with a hint of green.

This is my rapala trout lure.
I've used no other type for nearly twenty years.
They're good.
And, fairly close to what Chuey is after.

Oh no, that doesn't look like a DO R90S.

Go to ZM's link and check the other lures. You'll find the 'perch' pattern. I guess it doesn't look like a R90S either, but the colours are good.

Well, that is a disappointment ME 109. I did do some googling to see if I could stumble onto the "perch" model that you are so obviously taken with. Unfortunately I failed in my quest. But what I did see was a lot of fetching lures of many iridescent color combinations in various abstract and not so abstract designs. The designs certainly got my attention, though I didn't feel any fishy urge to either eat or mate with any of the lures.

Closer to my mammalian heritage, I couldn't help imagining my R100S painted up like a few of the lures. And I have to say that Daytona Orange is about as far as I would want to go on an airhead. But having said that there is this one luminescent transparent blue fading to silver on the lower half number that I just can't seem to get out of my mind. . . . . .
