Hey, my DVD just spat out a dollar!

My dvd drive ate my credit cards once. And some playing cards and a few other little things.

Wait, since I'm responding to you, it means you must be wrong, but I still suspect you're right....

Both heads are off the bike. Fortunately there's a reputable shop that's done airhead heads for years here in Austin, so it should be about a week's time or so.

Picked up the rebuilt heads this afternoon. New guides and exhaust valves, seats resurfaced. $300.

All ring gaps are within spec. Amazing to see what looks like fresh honing marks with the mileage on the bike
at 93k. All four lifters are pitted so will be picking up replacements Friday after work. Cam lobes look with no
ill effect. Maybe will have the beast running by Friday night.

This should have been a re-call free repair as BMW choose the wrong seat material.

Got heads installed last night with new(er) lifters and push rod seals. This morning, finished installing exhaust and carbs.
Took it out for a test ride.
Engine revs are much much smoother/quieter now. Headed out on the interstate for several miles. Ran it up
to 60 mph in fourth then opened it up. Bike now runs like all get out!
Old Flo is back.
