Thanks Rob for the excellent report. I always knew that the Boge was an excellent shock. It got a bad wrap because it didn't provide the damping that some preferred. That doesn't make it a bad shock, only the wrong shock for that person. When I hear that judgment, I know that the person doesn't have a very wide view of the world. *Notice how nicely I put it?)
Many times I have had Boge shocks last 30 years. While a few can "out ride" the Boge, I suspect that many of its critics just want to make themselves appear to be a great rider. A smooth rider will be able to push quite far towards the edge of what the rest of the BMW will do. I know that some of the critical riders are just sloppy riders and want a shock that will band aid over there errors. Maybe a riding school would do wonders.
I am feeling lazy, but am tempted to ask to steal your photos and text for use on my site. Or course I would claim to have done it all by myself and not give you any credit.
