Gidday,

A complete set of Nikasil barrels and pistons in excellent condition thanks to SteveD have been sourced from a 82 R100RS and new rings to match purchased plus gudgeon pin circlips also and all is now ready to install again, but the ole confidence levels are a little lower than average this time around, but it will happen soon ;)

I didn't see a photo of the broken circlip, or didn't know what I was looking at. I would like to see it.

I wondered if that was it, but it is so blurry that it could have been pieces of rings. Is that the type of circlip that has the bent over ends for grabbing with pliers for easy installation?

Yes, I thought, when I first saw it, "Shame on Grant for not getting a better picture".

Everyone should have a SLR digital camera. I know I wish I did. :)

Gidday,

Well that was a nice Sunday, both barrels and all the parts are installed and torqued down to specs.
I do not have another spare oil filter from when I drained the oil the other night so I am a few days away from starting the bike until another shows in the post this week :(

That will give me a few days to read up on bedding in the news rings which is something that I have never done before so throw some knowledge at me please about that process.

Thanks for the feed on the thread.. :)

So there was none of the aforementioned removal of material from the cylinder bases?
Cool!
(SO glad you are waiting for that oil filter!)

I wonder if dropping the pan would be going too far?
