This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Did the Arai take a beating?
Yeah, I was knocked out for at least 10 minutes. It took a VERY hard hit to the left side just behind the temple, and then hit repeatedly around the left side and the back. I should take a photo, but it's at work right now.

I replaced my six year old (at the time of replacement) Nolan N100 with as Shoei Multitec about six months ago. I'm a little bummed that Schuberth is now back in the US. Oh well, I think I'll get a C3 when they close them out for the C4. By that time the Multitec will need replacing, and the C3 might be on sale.

ZM, how old is your's??

Want a new C3 Schuberth
sjbmw now have 'em.

I have a S5 BMW helmet...not sure how old it is, but I've been wearing it regularly now for 18months. Before that I had a Schuberth Concept.

Here's the S4 BMW helmet that preceded the Schuberth...

Steve,

What was the cause for the get off that did this damage to your helmet? It wasn't the big chunk of metal/sewer grate I remember you hitting years ago was it?

I'm just about to retire my 4 year old HJC CL MAx. I have another identical, new in the box. Unfortunately they are black, because that's the only color HJC makes this helmet in XXXL. They get silver reflective treatments.

I also have a BMW System one that is like new...but I never wear it!

I have a one year old Shoei Multiech that repaced my 14 year old Shoei Jackter.

I also have a 40+ year old helmet of unknown heritage that I wear for special events, like riding my 53 year old single. :D

Garnet,

You must have small feet?

What is it like to shift that bike in those boots?

Optical illusion, they are size 11. The boots are Dijer MX boots that I bought new in 1973, and yes it is a bit of a lift off the peg to shift the 3" throw of those old boxes. Fortunatly nothing happens real fast on an old single. 8-)
