I won't argue with Sibbo's opinion but I reckon this model Ariel is a mighty fine looking bike.

A lovely Ariel Ray and I apologise for not including Ariels on my list .The Brit bikes of the 50s really got aesthetics spot on .....here's my other girl ,not up to your standard I'm afraid but $ being what they are ...
An Indian Royal Enfield 500 4 speed .She'll be looking for a new home to help me pay for my ST .She's been a very pleasant ride and handsome too !

Don't be tricked by the photo Sibbo - it leaks oil, the paint's ratty and it would generously be described as "a bit rough". But it works, it is used and it is a lot of fun. You'll regret selling the Enfield. And thanks justoneoftheguys, I too reckon Ariel made some beaut bikes.
Cheers
Ray

Charlie, I haven't ridden one of those triples since the 70's. I can't even remember if I ever rode an H2. I had friends with both H1's and the 400 (S3?). The 400 was the most unsafe bike I've ever ridden because it had absolutely zero power off the pipe, so it would bog and bog and then suddenly the rear tire would light up and the front wheel would come up. Not much of a beginner bike, but that's who bought them.
The 500 had a bit more power off the pipe. What was your 750 like? People thought I was nuts when my first bike was a Z1, but it was actually a very easy bike to ride: it just had power everywhere - much easier to ride than that 400 triple.

Here's my current stuff. Still deciding if the Guzzi is my cup of tea. I plan on never selling the R100. Guzzi rallies are not boring however and the Guzzi is a good ride for the slab.

Nice fleet Ray.
How are Guzzi rallies different than the others? There's one in Texas this weekend.

these h-2s were the covette of motorcycles for ten years ,they beat every muscle car from the 60s & 70s this bike was 60 over with 34 mikuni side oilers sqished head and big fat pipes ...it hit at 3 1/2 rpms and went to 11,000 rpms my best was 105 mph in 3rd gear just to get the blood going ...this bike is the real WIDOW MAKER. kAWASAKI was shut down in 1975 or they might have built a 1000cc two stoke .
