That's one of those old rubber saddles, they can take the sharp end of the ... er .. stick much better than the modern foam ones.ME 109 wrote:Is that good for the seat?Chuey wrote:very cool bike, Steve. Also, you look very sharp on it.Chuey

Re: PICTURE OF YOUR BIKE/BIKES
A few pix of my 74 R75/6 with the Hannigan fairing on...love the fairing. Searched hi and low for one and finally got a great deal on one from fellow in the vintage bike club for $250...very reasonable to say the least. Also upgraded the headlight assembly to the correct one again from our vintage club members...now looks like it should. Need to find sidecovers and few other small tems to complete.
Sold bike to my good friend on Salt Spring Island, BC. Jim will be touring around those parts next summer....so you BC guys have an eye for him! Jim and his wife will be going to Newfoundland and Maritimes with my wife and I next summer then riding the bike back out to BC.
The Hannigan fairing is fantastic...the pinstripes are only tape for now...just to see what pinstipping scheme we'll get done on it...fortunately we have a good "hand pinstripper" in the area (he's a chopper builder and good one) so he's coming up with a few ideas for Jim...
Also on the hunt for new header pipes...the ones on it are solid but couldn't clean them up...tried everything but Jim likes the "patina" ...o well...she now runs like a top and has lots life in her yet...
Got pretty major ding in the tank so going to try get that out but doesn't look promising

Re: PICTURE OF YOUR BIKE/BIKES
I have had a bunch of bikes... but I am In LOVE with this one!!! It's been together for about 4 months , and it still catches my eye!!! The paint is 10 feet paint, the stripes are incorrect, and any /2 "pro" can spot the flaws... but who cares!! It is one of the best running /2s I've ever been on!!
