They got to be kidding?
Wankers. I might ring and ask if I can test ride on one of Victorias best roads......

Jeez. them bikes with the fat rear tyres sure get in your way.
How's the RS port and starboard outer-end refurb going, Jeff?

I should have me bits back by the end of next week, Charlie.
Then I need to smash it back together.
Right head needs two valve guides, all seats recut and valves faced.
Balanced conrods, pistons, etc.
New big and small ends, and new s/hand cylinders. The original cylinders are a little worn out at near 300 k k's.
Can't wait to get it back together.

Those Doncaster BMW people out there on the edge of city life are just mighty fine when it comes to part'in way and spending some folding on a quality item. Tis the folks that paid me a hansom "above ward" wad for my grey RS to then have it sit in their new flash motorrad showroom some 6 years back. Now it seems the showroom needs another massive injection of cash cause its just not flash enough to impress the new younger breed of logo wannabee hunters...

Gotta spend money to make more money I suppose. Doncaster is a huge dealership but the bike section is pretty small. I s'pose they're spreading out to increase their museum section to give Grants Grey Ghost R100RS the prime position it deserves! That'll be what they're doing.
Hi Mal...shame you're away, but I'm guessing you'll have a fine time yourself.
We're still waiting for your pix and story from last time too, especially your homeward stint!
Jeff, where are you proposing we go around Whitfield?

This little spot here, Steve.....
Looking upstream
Looking downstream
Looking from above, on the road. Maybe three k's of easy dirt road.
About 5 k's south of Cheshunt on the Upper King river road. This road goes to lake William Hovel.
Beautiful area at this time of year. Actually, it's beautiful any time of year!

Don't worry...I didn't see this....but before or after the road crosses the river?
About 5 k's south of Cheshunt on the Upper King river road. This road goes to lake William Hovel.

200 metres before the bridge, on the left hand side. As the bitumen takes a right hand bend just before the bridge, the dirt road goes straight ahead.
Buggered if I can put a placemark on google earth and post a link. Maybe Charlie knows how?
