I'm the proud owner of that monster Brad. I bought it to haul motorcycles and other stuff to and back from Boise. It's a tad bit roomier than I needed. But my brother in law (who sold it to me) said it was a real good deal. And if you can't trust your brother in law, who can you trust. Right? Right? Right? Somebody please tell me I'm right about brother in laws.

Ultimately it will make a great toy hauler complete with rudimentary "living" quarters. Being a self proclaimed marshmallow butt rider, it would be the perfect rig to go rallying I figure.

The R65 lever pressure issue certainly appears to be the larger cylinder now on the bike, which is stamped "16", the larger of the two choices, not the "13", the smaller diameter.

You guys are good, diagnosing an issue on a bike not even there.

I found the below while researching the issue.

"A 1” master cylinder creates 127.4 PSI as compared to a 7/8” master cylinder which is 166.7 PSI based on your foot making 100 pounds of force at the master cylinder. It is important to consider that the smaller cylinder makes more pressure but the smaller bore will move less fluid. More travel will be needed to make up for the reduction in fluid moved by a 7/8” master cylinder as compared to the larger 1”. Carl explains further in the next section."

So now the options are 1) find the smaller master cylinder, or 2) install a second disc on the front. See how easy it is?

Don't know if you're aware of the R65 forum http://www.bmwr65.org/ but there's wealth of info available for the sporty R65 and LS series bikes.

It's my understanding that a couple peeps have swapped in -fairly painlessly- the entire front end from a K-75. Crunch and I would enjoy spending your money, No Problemo!
