Hey Guys, those are stock rims with Firestone Vintage tires - not harley!
I can build you pipes or whatever else. Just let me know....
The front forks are fine as well, just need to be modded a bit to function properly, no biggy for someone who knows a bit about motorcycles. If you want, bring the bike to me and Ill get'er all fixed up for ya for a decent price.
As for the wheels, Im building an r65 racer as we speak and I happen to love the snowflake, pretty cool in my opinion. My best advice is not to make the bike look like another bike but to let the bike make itself. Look at it and study the lines and figure out what it needs to make it better - in your mind. If you copy thats just what it turns out to be!
When I made my bike I tried very hard for it to look like a better version (in my mind) of what the stock bike should look like but a bit Hot Rodded out. Every little idea and inspiration came from the bike stock, just fitted to my taste - thats pretty much it. I love BMW's as well all motorcycles and it was important to me not to bastardize such a great bike.
Anyhow,
With the minor modifications I did with the new mikuni carbs, air box, decent pipe system and modified baffle I could ride the heck out of that little Beemer and it would keep up with 1200 sportsters all day without a hitch.
As for the bigger wider tire - you can cut a bit out of the shaft and re-weld it to fit another inch or so, but thats allot of work for such a little thing, but all in all thats what will make it yours. If you are thinking about doing it any other way I wouldnt,Im not a big fan of off setting a tire and never will be.
Thanks for the compliments guys, that bike was something stuck in my head for over fifteen years so it was sort of a dream come true.
