hello Chaps, i thought i posted this question earlier, but i must have not saved it as it has not appeared.

i am fititng a chrome saddle bag to an r75/6 (1974 so i beleive its a log wheel base model) however when i line up the wholes on the saddle racks the only possible hole for the top right bracket to fit is currentley occupied by the shock absorber bolt, so i am guessing that is not correct. there are whole a little farther back but then the bottom left extended bracket does not line up with the hole on the frame and the top left bracket does not line up with the little loop behind the light that i think a bolt has to go through. i am perplexed?

The stock pannier rack for all BMW airheads up to 1984 attach to the same bolt that holds the rear upper shock absorber mount. It goes inside the sub frame rail. The stock bolts should be long enough to accomodate the extra thickness of metal. With the front mounts in that position, all of the other holes will line up (provided you have frames for a LWB twinshock model). If an image would help, let me know. I'll take one and post it.
