I guess some people just don't do research.
That is a common situation that has been commented on here, before.

The person offering the covers for bidding (see the link) also has an R75/5 SWB for sale...$2000.
"LOOKS" rather nice...it's in New Hampshire.
They have some NOS Gaiters. Didn't someone want some REAL BMW gaiters a week or so ago?

ebay:
Well, we opened the bidding and an automatic bid-up started taking place. Finally after going for 10 up-bids, a different bid got in for $20. Then it got raised to $20.50. Maybe another automatic bid??
It begins to be foolishness.
We'll watch what happens for 3 or 4 days...

I do a lot of ebayin - don't bid high unless I'm really desperate - recently procured a box of 14 GS mirrors for $34 + shipping $12
- paid that much for my first set, mounted on my Oilhead - (hope I don't get slammed for posting this pic on the Airhead forum)

I saw those, listed separately. each one lists shipping charges.
ebay gets more and more interesting.
The "pair" listed earlier got auto-bid to $30 before I went away to a rally.
I'll se how they are doing now. haven't checked since got home yesterday afternoon.

The pair of black ones are now up to $36 and the last bid was on August 10.

Motobins lists "pattern" (aftermarket copies) side covers for 25 pounds sterling each. (Don't know the US dollar conversion but it is listed on their web site) I find their shipping to Canada is prompt and reliable.
