Why not go for high output alternator?
You could run heated shorts as well as the heated vest.

I guess that is the way to go but after spending large on an OEM replacement rotor, I'm too interested in fixing something that ain't broke. But.....I guess I should start a "What is the best system upgrade for the charging system."
