You've got a part of this history here
Glad I asked!

BTW that PEUGEOT 500 GRAND PRIX is obviously the inspiration for the Kawasaki W650 engine!

I never see anyone like her at our Oregon Vintage Motorcyclists get-togethers.

Hmm, you don't suppose she poses for money do you?

I don't know about Oregon, but the Idaho Vintage Motorcycle Club show is attended by old farts pretty much like the ones here on the forum. I've paid attention but I have yet to see some young lovely woman draping herself on one of the vintage motorcycles while a photographer moves all around her snapping shots by the score.

Still, it could happen. Couldn't it?

Meanwhile, vintage motorcycle eye candy ain't half bad.

I prefer to think that's her Ariel, in her own garage. She rides and maintains it. And while I'm at it, her name is also Ariel.

Unfortunately, the fact that "her garage" has a perfectly textured faux-painted background really gets in the way of the fantasy....

Have you tried squinting your eyes really hard, so that you can just barely see?

Worked for me on a date once, though I may have been more motivated than you are right now.

Ha, the old 'vaseline on the lens effect' trick.
Very handy, and so much more subtle than a paper bag or a dangerous quantity of alcohol.

Edited to add: But Ken, here's a question - what if the motivation level is extreme and your eyes are your best feature?

Omigod, I hadn't thought of that! But in circumstances like that my brain normally doesn't function well anyhow. I guess I would just have to hope that she's squinting too, hopefully in dazzlement.

Hmm, that doesn't present a pretty picture does it? But I guess a guy (and a gal) gotta do what they gotta do. And when the prime directive is raging, what is the alternative? (Don't answer that!)

I think its a nice phantasy. Don't mind the cynics!

Edit to add: it looks like Ariel (the bike) has a right hand shift, and Ariel (the girl) has scuff marks on her right hand boot in almost the right place!
