Rob the sump i removed and cleaned and polished up like new again, i think tomorrow i will unbolt the oil cooler and drain out as much oil as i can from the bike just to be safe...
I wonder if you could blow air through the cooler, fill, rinse, repeat? And then prime, of course.

I doubt the cooler would've opened. The bike hasn't been run for that long on a stinkin' hot day.

I would flush out that cooler and lines really well, forward and backward if possible. When I lunched an auto trans in one of my cars, they were very adamant about replacing cooler lines and the cooler so not to contaminate the replacement box.

Gidday,

Just ticking off the boxes fellas, probably a little overkill in draining the cooler oil but it's peace of mind at the end of the day, and while I'm waiting for the oil filter to arrive it cannot hurt..

Gidday,

Done a 103kms of varied speeds and revs this morning to bed the new rings in, some winding, some straight, up hills, down hills, under load, all sorts of stuff but constantly varying the rev range as I was told to do.

Not a oil leak, fuel drip or smoke to been seen anywhere :) .. No not just a smile, this calls for a big ole cheesy grin :D

Now you have to check/adjust your valve clearances again. It just never ends. With any luck, that is.
