Honestly, you have a good start. I like the style and the family connection. Keep us posted.

I think it deserves its own Domain name and website. 28chevrolet.com is available.
Thanks Duane, now that sounds cool, its very own website.....My wife will be just shaking her head more and more if I mention that one, she already thinks I'm a little mad ;) ...small steps first but you just never know with this little adventure.

Gidday Fellas

Well to be honest I have been looking in from time to time here quickly and having a read but my mind has been else where as it has been on the old Chev.
I have just been cleaning the engine bay and playing around, fixing this a that and really enjoying myself as it is very basic and simple going, I am learning about stuff as I go and the thought of bringing back to life an 80 year old car just makes me grin from smile, I have had a few old Chev buffs make contact as the word got out around the area about dads old "Barn Find" banger making it way out of the workshop and into the daylight.....

I have been driving it up and down the driveway lately at home, fine tuning it ;) is what I tell my wife and I think I am pissing the neighbours off a little which is a good thing, pay back for years of a loud barking German Shephard dog which we have put up with  the old Chev has a very short straight-out pipe.

have a great day and enjoy life.....

Good on yer Grant, have you thought about cutting the tail pipe even shorter to piss the neighbour off even more?

Gidday fellas,

To be honest I have my head buried somewhere else over the past 2 months to the point that I have not laid eyes on my RS at all really, it's been in the shed all along but I have not given it an ounce of thought, shocking isn't it :o even with a nice Aussie summer upon us and all 8-) ....... well actually yesterday I did get it out of the shed, turn it over and yes it quickly and smoothly settled down into a groovy idle just wanting to get out there and have a flip flop through them there hills just over the front fence from our house, but I didn't as I got side tracked again but this time it was with my family, so I think I am slowing coming out of this numbing, energy sapping haze called "Chevy-Heaven" that I have been eating, sleeping, breathing and basically living as this new toy that sat in dads shed for 42 years has just sucked me right in hook, line and sinker... I now have the Chev running sweetly so now I can focus back on the two wheeled variety of transportation and get out there amongst it....

Have a read of the blog below about my driving adventure around the township at sunrise in "Monty" the chev this week.

Just caught up with this now Grant. Great read...the connection with your Dad through the 28 Chev is a fantastic story!

Great legacy for your family and friends.

Bob

PS: Does your neighbour read the blog??...love the story of the short pipes vs the barkin' shepherd...good one...add that to the blog. Look forward to more! :D
