Thinking of branching out.

This is for the discussion of Motorcycling. The art, the science, the theory of all things related to our favorite sport... riding motorcycles.

Wow Steve, you should offer a buyer inspection report service. I am taking you along next time I buy!
I buy, then start to notice all the things that I should have seen before.

Sounds like maybe he is expecting too much for this one? Watching ....

The guts of it seemed ok. It needed a big tidy up, but other than new tyres it was good to go.
Prices are all over the shop right now and it's a good time to sell I expect. Too much? Yep if from my wallet. Who knows what someone else would be happy with?

Looked at a R100GS tonight, 'cause it was only 30 min away. $5K asking.
Probably needed similar stuff to the RS above but push rod seals x 4, left head gasket, sump gasket, new tyres for rwc. I'm guessing $1500 to get it up to snuff which includes rego.

I think the owner used to renovate gearboxes...

Tyres $350, transfer fees and rego (from club plates) $700, insurance $220
oils, brake fluid $50. it all adds up.
There's a R1100S in Orange for $5500...it's yellow though. :?
