I'd like to do cabins as the rainy season has set in.

Is the 13/14th good for others, Mal/Ross?

Steve
In fact 13/14th is the only full weekend I have off in Nov.

Things are starting to happen. Sounds like Guyra is good. I like the idea of a cabin. I've circled the dates, now to call the Guyra Caravan park and order some beds. How many can make it?

She'llbe and others

Unfortunately I may be an apology for that weekend. I'm starting a new job in Orange (secondment for 4 months) on the 2nd which means I will be only home in Dubbo on weekends for a few weeks until I arrange some days working out of Dubbo. I mentioned the trip to the loverly missus and kids last night and I think I will be in the doghouse if I went away that weekend. As Mal told me this morning, I'll need to build the brownie point account up before the next trip.

This is quite depressing for me as I have been proactive with the organising; but I really want the job and a happy homelife during this transitional period. Mal understands don't you mate.

By the way Mal is keen for that weekend but he is working out of Wollongong and has not been doing boxerworks. You might need to call him on his work mobile She'llbe (0402 315364)

Carry on without me my waywood sons

Steve from Dubbo

Sounds like the UpNorth mob are putting things into place. You might want to contact Darren of Ballina (TwoWheelsBetter), though I haven't seen him for a long time on the forum. There's also Gary of Glen Innes (2valve). Dunno if he's riding that lovely 90s, though. I'll send you some contact details, She'llbe.

Anyways, here is the venue info for us Mexicans on the DownSouth gathering - 12, 13 & 14th.

The place is called the Howqua Hills Historic Area. Lots of good campsites along the Howqua River. Good trout strean, dunnies, fireplaces, some tables. Here is a GoogieMap showing the route from Mansfield. There’s a few kms of good winding dirt road to the campsites.

Oops. Bugger. I can't get the link to work. Um, ok, go to GoogleMaps, punch in Sheepyard Flat Campsite. Have a look around. Get Directions from Mansfield, via Merrijig. There are quite few campsites east of Sheepyard Flat. Let me know if you can't find it.

I'll post more as the time gets closer.

Ps: Sympathy to you, Steve - would a life-size cardboard cut-out work with your family?

Gidday fellas,

Charlie I had a bit of a "Google Earth" down on the sheelyard flats, whats the go with the "Fry's Hut", that would be a bit of fun and something different to camp in, no doubt its first in best dressed with the huts up there Y/N, just a thought.

The whole area looks nice, great choice once again Charlie, the excitment is building and the camping gear in getting pushed closer and closer to the bike as the clock ticks over....

Talk to you soon..

Codi and I will be coming up on the Saturday morning early, we'll give those bakeries a good working out......
