Yes Rob it has the correct one 33/11 stamped on the final drive and maybe even it has been played with internally or another gearbox put on?? will never know until I go searching..

Do I understand correctly that a less than 2kph error is sending you into a fit? I'm pretty sure that if you get a "correct" speedometer, it is actually built to not be that accurate. I get that there may be an over vs under issue but it's less than 2% off and I think that's way better than stock.

The tach issue, I get. It's nice to have accuracy there. But, then again, it is a BMW and not a high strung racing engine that you'll wring its neck.

Chuey, no its the revs being out that's annoying me, seems to be 500rpms higher at 100kms than others

The 2km difference is nothing but the revs should be lower, hence testing the tacho first..
