'Valve cover wear limiters' is perhaps more appropriate. :mrgreen:
This is about 15 pairs of valve covers worth of protection over 22 years. I took the bars off months ago when I fitted a nice s/hand RS fairing. Looks nicer without them, plus the bars were worn beyond protecting the covers.

This type of bar will not make anyone high side, if they touch a bar on the road while playing in the twistys... ime.
