I've pulled 5th gear off......can't see an X so at least I'm confident which gear to get.
I've decided that I will in fact go for the taller fifth.

Prolly order all the stuff from M'bins tomorrow.
Too many reds now, I'll order too many bits.

If you had to use a puller to get 5th gear off you might need a new shaft too. :D

I did need to use a puller Roy, and use a little heat from my mini propane torch.
I did wonder about having to 'pull' a bearing that was retained by a circlip. Should I call the fire brigade?

WHOA! peddle backwards, lucky I didn't call the fire brigade!

It's Sunday morning, 7:45. That's my excuse.

I meant I had to pull the bearing, not the GEAR.

I knew there was more to your smiley face....

A package arrived today from Motobins which I've yet to open...
I do believe there is a taller 5th in there.
Gotta get this rebuild right.

Let me know if you want me to fly over and help out.
I usually only make the same mistake once. Twice at the most.

Usually.

That's quite the pile of shinny gears ya got there. Is that tall 5th gear gonna fit in there? :geek:
