I'm an old fashioned type of guy Sibbo. And besides, a V12 sounds way better than a vacuum cleaner.

Look in' mighty fine MR GS/RS Jeff....the old/new 507
Gotta keep the old one for the "patina" ...or at least a reminder of "what was"...
Good idea removing rear balance pipe...I replaced a set on my 82 with a pair of headers off 78 (sans rear balance pipe) and noticed no difference in tuning or running....which makes me wonder why they added the rear one later on. And, as you said sure made it easier to drop the headers/exhaust as one piece and actually getting the oil filter cover and O ring back on straight...
Engine crash bars.....had them on one bike and not the other....until I tipped it over....so minus a mirror and crack in the fairing...I'd leave them on, although, as you say, they do get in the way during the oil change! Just think of your beautiful slide in your one video after the 'roo incident....them bars saved a few things on the bike as well as your ankle/knee

Hey moosehead, I'll keep the old fairing and put indicator lenses, screen, headlight boot and glass back in.
Then it might mount on a wall in my shed.
I do feel a little more vulnerable without the crash bars. It will mean a less agricultural approach to my sports bike fishing.
There goes the valve covers.

She's been at the beauty salon several times these last couple of years. That anti aging cream polish works a treat.

That's beautiful Jeff.
Only down side is now you might ride it carefully.

Thanks Doug.
I always make a point of riding carefully.
It is so good to ride. Especially out on the highway with a tall 5th. 120 kph on the speedo for 4250 rpm.
Spring's a comin'
