Man, I wish I had my bike done enough to make the ride. I'd like to plan on attending next year.

One wheel, two or eighteen, we don't care, just showing up will make us happy.
Careful with challenges like that. A twisted fella like me could have a lot of fun.
I could show up on one wheel.
Or two...
Or who knows, maybe even eighteen.

I will let the others drink the Minnesota beers and drink Boulevard out of Kansas City. While I can get Boulevard in Minnesota we pay an arm, a leg and your left nut for a 12 pack.

Damn! I'm really missing being part of the group on this 10th anniversary. In some ways that seems not so long ago and in other ways it seems so long ago. I remember the first impromptu group ride we took. I don't think I'd ever ridden alongside a BMW motorcycle before. And now I was part of a pack. (Herd? Cluster? Gaggle?) Whatever. The name doesn't matter. But the fellowship did.
One thing for sure, the attendees didn't resemble the BMW rider stereotype--except that we were unaccountably fond of that particular marque. They were--people. Quite different people except for that common appreciation of BMW motorcycles. I was glad to discover that then and pleased that it is so now.
You don't suppose other motorcycle brands/types might have non stereotypical adherents too do you? Oops! Sorry. I accidentally stepped onto my soap box.
Ron and Teresa Moss, I'm so glad you two have taken up the chore (and the rewards). It's clear from the posts that you have gone all out to make this a rewarding event. Though I'm not going to be part of this upcoming event I'm thankful none the less.
I'm also pleased with the possibility of getting some new signatures on the BMW flag. As an aside, one of the attendees at the rally last spring at my place asked me if I was going to put that flag up in the "Cave" part of my new shop. I told him no, that the flag wasn't mine. It needed to be wherever the Boxerworks rally happens. I do have a BMW flag up in the cave, exactly like the rally flag, except that it is a stark unblemished black and white flag. I have other flags hung up as well, such as state flags that have been important to my personal history: Idaho, Texas, and Oklahoma. I also have a couple flags of other marques I like; Triumph and Harley Davidson. What I haven't been able to find is 3'X5' flags of Norton, BSA, Royal Enfield, Husqvarna, and CZ; other motorcycles that I have enjoyed.
By the way guys, two of the motorcycles that you drug out, dusty and cobwebby, from the dank recesses of my shop in Big Cedar last spring are now esconsed in the Cave: the '78 Triumph T140E and my '74 CCM motocrosser. They are now MUCH cleaner and lookin' good alongside my '57 Triumph Thunderbird and '78 R100S.
Ramble over. I'll be thinking of you.
Ken

I don't mean to be pedantic, but you've got that line aimed about 75 miles south of Macon. There's not even any good riding down in that neck of the woods. Have a little respect!
