Thanks. mine is fogging when it gets down to 5 degrees celcius. This might help.

Give it a try. I have no firm opinion on how long they last before they fail altogether. Mine is still ok but less than 12 months old.

It kind of boggles my mind that after many years of existence the the helmet manufacturers are suddenly all crazy for Pinlock. Back around 2007-ish I got a Scorpion helmet that had an anti-fog coating on its faceshield and it really worked well and lasted about three years. Why no other player in the biz (not even the really big players) can come up with that mystifies me. Unfortunately, the current line of Scorpion helmets don't fit me near as well as the original EXO models did, so now if I want anti-fog I'm forced to either spend more $$$ on a goofy insert or experiment with applying something made for different purposes or materials.

That stuff works for a very short time.
Fog Tech wipes work for longer but still need regular reapplication. In the long run, a well cared for pinlock is probably cheaper and more convenient.

Yeah, I got a Scorpion about that time also, and that shield was amazing in its anti-fog properties. It wasn't that great in clarity-had some distortion like a cheap pair of sunglasses might, but it was sure nice to ride in cold, foggy weather and be able to see through the thing. Don't know why someone hasn't perfected that concept. I have a pinlock now, and like it pretty well too, but more hassle than a plain old shield that is fog resistant like that Scorpion.
