Are these like rocking horse manure? I have seen lots of pannier frames about, but none to fit my R80/7

Dirtsurfer has misquoted a common Australian expression to avoid offending delicate American sensibilities. "Rare as rocking horse shit" translates to "unobtainium". I hope this helps.

Dunno about the pannier frames. Could you get some standard ones and alter them?

Your R80/7 should be LWB.

I mounted a lwb Krauser frame onto my 71 swb r75/5 many decades ago. All the holes lined up except the two on the bikes rear sub frame.A drill bit and a few minutes and then it mounted perfectly.
