Hi All,
I just joined your forum and wanted to say "hello". I'm in the Midwest and enjoy tinkering with BMW's that need a little TLC. My wife calls it a sickness. I'm a Manufacturing Engineer, majored in Metallurgical Engineering, and have a small machine shop in my basement. I look forward to participating and contributing where I can.
Thank you,
Steve

Welcome Steve. This is a very ancient airhead site. There are some very experienced Airhead operators here. As of late things, have been quiet, some natural attrition. If you do indeed have the sickness, you should find some compatriots here! Tell us what you are working on.

Hi Zombie Master, and thank you. Currently I'm redoing the '84 R100. Bike was traded in after sitting for many years. Probably the usual story. I got it running again and am now refurbishing everything. Powder-coated the frame and all the bits, vapor-honed the years off the aluminum, etc. I picked up a lot of parts, both new and used, at the Barber Vintage Motorcycle festival in Birmingham. Met a lot of BMW enthusiasts there. Almost back together now. It ran pretty strong before I took it all apart, so I'm pretty excited to get it back on the road before winter sets in.

Thank you.

You just drag a pic of
less than 200 KiB onto the text block. If it works, there will be the attachment shown at the bottom of the post and you will select "place in line" That's it! Even two valve guys can do this!

Sorry for the late replies. I'm in Weldon Spring, Missouri. About 30 minutes west of St. Louis. So, to answer Richard T, that's about 6 hours from Central Okla.
Thanks,
