A question for the Ozzie Boxerworkers.

I need to transport an 18kg 95.45.60 cm box from Sydney to me in Melbourne.

Any ideas on a reasonable courier? Greyhound Busfreight, which is usually good value, want $120. :o

878km, 1 day each way... two major cities - surely there are lorries (utes?) that make that trip regular.

No one in particular springs to mind Steve, but what about the likes of Ipec etc.
Try the 'ol yeller pages.

Yep, lots, but it's a matter of finding one at reasonable cost. You can put a package on a Greyhound but the cost was $120, which is just more than I want to pay, hence the search for alternatives.

I'm trying an online place E-go.com.au that quote $42. From memory, they were the crowd that I had the black wheels shipped with, though they seem to have changed their depot address.

I'm getting better at finding Nimbin by just zooming in on the map, though! Image

I'm just thinking that a small company that is already headed that way might have room for it on one of their trucks for a reasonable fee.

What about Bethanga? Charlies island maybe? That might be a bit more of a challenge!

Charlie's island is invisible to the untrained eye on google earth as the water was low when the spy satellitetook the pictures
(low water = no island)

Yeah, I figured that, as I've looked for it myself. Rob needs the overnight challenge to stay awake at work though!
:D
