A windscreen for a R80 ST

Hi All ,
I've just bought my girl , a lovely ST with a GS100 tank .She's sweet and flickable ,a delight !

but , she came with screen that the seller assured me would be wind buffet free and quiet as a lamb . Now don't get me wrong , the selller is a gentleman and the bike is all I could want ,it's just that his definition of quiet and buffet free is a little different from mine ! It was taken off and packed away on the 700km trip home and things improved no end .

It's just that I like screens (when they work ),I once actually had one on a Yamaha the worked ...a long time ago .I have a mate with a TransAlp and he can travel at highway speeds with his visor up , no noise , no buffet .

I want one ! Something just like that ! Does anyone have a screen that would satisfy my modest requirements ? A photo of a good one ? I'm can happily form perspex to shape and form steel supports .

Any help very much appreciated !

Here's a photo of my new girl :D .

Nice catch, Sibbo. Am sure you'll get some leads on that wind screen soon.

If you plan to remove that small fairing, be aware that it is a factory item that fit both the R80ST and the twin-shock R65 and R45's. You would probably find a R65 owner interested. They come up on eBay from time to time, if you want to see what they sell for.

Nice bike. Good luck on the windshield.

And wanted to add too....that's a inviting wooded road going on back there.

Thanks Rob , I don't know about the baby fairing yet , it will really be a matter of whether a suitable screen will couple with it ..otherwise it will probably go .

Just 'the new girl', Sibbo? Like the new girl at work, school, prison? Has she not given an indication of a preferred name?
(I'm sure it will happen with time. My girlfriend was calling Brunhilde "That fekkin' german slut" for a while, until she discovered the possibilities for some pleasurable 3-way action.)

She's lookin' good. Quite at home in paradise. Good luck with the screen.

G'day Charlie , she's verging on Matilda ,mainly 'cos I had a ferret called Matilda as a kid and and and ....I'm not sure of the connection but it's always a good name for me  .Nothing to do with dancing .Just ferrets and bikes .

I'm learning to ride her , she handles very nicely tank you , even flickable , I can change line in a corner which isn't something I expected on a BeeM! Still tall after the Enfield but the extra power more than compensates ...very satisfactory !

She'll get a bit of a GS100 treatment aesthetically and a couple of big bulky aluminium hot box panniers  I'm sure it won't look as bad as it sounds ! I like to be able to do the shopping on the bike and those cute little BMW panniers are lovely for carrying lunch and your wet weathers but nothing more .I need volume !

Welcome Sibbo.

That looks an excellent buy!

How about a display at Talbingo in just under 3 weeks?

Shame.

There might be some chat about a 2-3 nighter at Talbingo I expect...maybe closer to your neck o' the woods.
