Stuck Carb Slide

After too long a layup (probably 3-6 months), my 1967 R50 has a sticking carb slide. I worked it with Berryman's B-12 cleaner and a soft plastic "wool" pad and it loosened up some, but still isn't moving freely. The other carb slideis moving nicely.

This bike has been a good runner and this is the first time my slide has stuck.

Any suggestions? I was thinking the next step was a carb disassembly and soak in carb dip. I really don't want to go to abrasives - it was working fine before.

Thanks!

Success! I went after the offending slide with rubbing compound and a damp rag. 10 minutes later the slide was sliding and the bike was running like a champ!

Good Job! I like cheap, easy fixes.
