Looking for a bike

I'm thinking about getting another bike and have started looking at old K's. Any good/bad years - anything spacial to look for/be aware of? Vague plan is to get a faired daily runner, and de-fair my R90 and give that some extra care.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!

Early (maybe the first two years) faired K100's have some issues with heat control. Even the later ones can be pretty warm to ride in the summer in hot country. If you live in a real cool environment (like I do), then it's not very important.
Other than that, I don't know of any real issues.
The 4-valve K1100's are quite a bit more powerful, but the early ones have more power than you really need anyway.
Any poor running issues are almost always due to sensors - heat sensors are the ones I know of that definitely can fail on these older bikes. $25 or so and you're ready for another 20+ years. Blocks, rings, and even valves/heads are usually good for over 200k miles without being touched.

Don't be scared off by the "K75" title, it covers both.
