I actually saw that bike at the "Isle of Vashon" VME Rally.
He builds those farings and seat cowls himself, according to another VME member. The faring looks like a Ducati 900ss fairing but is smaller and narrower. Nice bike. Real leather used on the seat.

I like how he's used an alloy bottom yoke in place of the flat steel plate:

Yes, I like the bottom used on top too.
Has anyone seen this done well keeping the standard fork top caps and handlebar mounts.
Just wondered if it would require additional machining of the top side (formerly the bottom side, it's flipped over?)
Looks like how this one is, the handle bar mounts might not fit and if they did, the handlebars might hit the fork top caps.

I like the struts that support the fairing at the top outer edges as well. That is a very simple and clever clip that he's made to hold the struts at the steerer nut. You should see how complex, (but works very well) mine is. Oh well.

In looking again, at the fairing support strut mount, I still admire its simplicity but wonder how it is made to not turn with the bars. Maybe he has a bushing that is a smidge longer (thicker) than the clip on the steerer top nut. That is the only way I can see that it would work.

That's the only way I can see it as well, unless the bike doesn't have a steering damper. Then the knob is just there for show and to hold the fairing mount in place.
On further reflection, it still has to have a bushing in there as the knob has to turn with the forks weather it's fake or not.

Guys,
I'll let you know exactly how it works once the bike arrives, I just bought it on Wednesday and having it shipped to Savannah.
