Is it possible to mount a windshield on my '73 /5 LWB? If so, where might I look for one? Thank you.

Re: /5 Windshield
You may get away with a handlebar mounted windshield on the LWB, but don't count on it. Have you wondered why the Windjammer became so popular on the /5? It is due to high speed wobbles.
Put "BMW Motorcycle high speed wobble" into Google and read up on the various opinions and experiences. Or, go to http://w6rec.com/duane/bmw/wobbles.htm

I sold the Wixom Ranger fairing off my /5 a couple of years ago for WAY CHEAP ($60.00), they just do not bring much $ because adding a sail to the front of a /5 is generally a bad idea.

you can still buy the factory BMW windshield assembly. It may be expensive but its far and away the nicest looking and best functioning windshield you can mount to a naked BMW.... unfortunately the mounting bracket appears to be NLA :'( Ive bought & sold several of them over the yrs. Good luck finding a used one.
