100CC AFTERMARKET BOOKLET FOR DRIVE SHAFT

recent disscution in 5united says about 4oz AS i FOUND NO TRoUBLE WITH THE 100CC but I CORRECTED MINE TO 2OZ
the problem came from the orginal hand book the 100cc came after because of breather sizeing was wrong from MFG

all final drive's are filled to lower thread of the filler

IF YOU HAVE THE 4 SPEED fill to bottom thread a little too much is ok

Bike on center stand, trans and rear drive to bottom of threads on filler hole and about 2/3 cup in driveshaft.

Sorry Tim, but that is way too much. The driveshaft (swingarm) must not have over 100 cc and less is better. To fill to the bottom of the filler will always cause it to transfer to the final drive. You then could be in for an expensive repair.

I also must disagree with the opinion that a bit over the bottom of the threads in the transmission is OK. It probably is, but too much oil can cause trouble too. The first place it will leak is usually the front seal. You don't want that.

You're right Duane, the drive shaft on a Short Wheel Base takes 100cc, all others take 150cc. I didn't say to the bottom of the threads on the drive shaft...

For years I have known that I should learn to read, sorry bout that error on my part.

In all 4 drive train components, it is better to have the oil level a bit low, as that is far better than having it a bit high.

Note to Kurt.
Hate to state the obvious, but the SUBJECT line told the story you needed.
It was just too BIG to see.....
