I am supprised that Andy did this product. they call it a stealth suit. I find it a fail.

They don't exist to tell us what to wear, they exist to sell product. If this is something they were getting requests for, then you can't blame them for testing out the market to see if it will sell.

Is it something I would choose? No. We'll see if it's something others have been looking for.

Wearing something "stealthy" may not be the best choice when riding a motorcycle. It's ridiculously overpriced too. I don't think I'd want to wear it, well maybe I would if it wasn't so expensive or it was given to me. It probably works pretty well - I've heard nothing but good things about Aerostich.

But why do you think it's a "fail"?

Areostich has built a company on built a high quality high visibility products that encase the rider. reflecting in low light conditions. for 30 years they have been the biggest advocates of gear safety.

The stealth suit is a retraction to their commitments. Fashion is one thing. Safety is another. black is bad. Light absorbing black motrcycle suits will get people killed. black suit, black helmet, black bike - black casket.

I like it. I would like some armor (more?) in it.
Hip and elbow armor is on my list.

We are invisible remember. I wouldn't trust my mum if she was driving and I was approaching on my bike.

as a sexy suit any old aspiring geezer or young buck would wantta wear it - it is all cats whiskers but ... as actual riders in the world urban, suburban and two lane twisties... WE are hard to see so why compound a problem when the driving world is more distracted than ever.

Case in point... I love my blue stich suit. When I went down a while back it's safety features saved my bacon twice. Once from the impact of the road and railing of the SF bay bridge during rush hour traffic, then as a marker of where my body came to rest so my fellow commuters in fast moving vehicles could easily spot me. if i had this black suit on, I would have matched up with the foggy, slick black top and most likely become road pizza.

Good point regarding being seen sprawled on the road.

But how visible do you want to be? My bright yellow Olympia Phantom (mis-named, obviously) suit is brighter than a blue 'stitch. Sometimes it annoys me but I live with it. When it wears out I will consider an Roadcrafter suit. More money, maybe no better quality, not CE armour whatever that is, but made in America.

I wouldn't even consider the black one.

Just add a fluoro helmet.
The price is the real killer.
