Insult+ Injury

I was wondering whether part out or rebuild my R75/6(See earlier thread on that subject) when some......person answered that question for me: the wreck was stolen last night. I am posting here hoping for a little help with ebay and IBMWR watchers. The parts have several notable issues: The right carb has a big gouge in the nameplate; the front fender has a large blue painted area at the front; the seat is a wide-butt model with a custom cover black on top, orange metal flake vinyl sides, blue EL piping, and purple side gussets; and the headlight ears are purple. The exhaust valve rockers are slide damaged as well.
Any and all help will be appreciated and welcome. Anyone in Southern Cal can come by for a homebrew.

Thanks, as always

Well... that sucks. You can post a stolen bike notice over at the IBMWR Marketplace too:

That seat is pretty freakin' unique. If it shows up, that will make things pretty obvious.
If I was going to go through the risk of attempting to get away with stealing someone's motorcycle, I think I'd make it a bit more worth my while than stealing a wrecked one.

Wow Dave, that is a major bitch!
This is premature, but do you have any thoughts about acquiring another airhead? If and when the insurance company responsible for the driver who wrecked your motorcycle pays up, I would imagine that would go a long way toward covering the expense of a replacement airhead. Certainly the wrecked motorcycle could only be classified as a total wreck.
(I'm probably underestimating the ability of the insurance company to weasel out of an obligation.)

That
is what insurance companies specialize in.

And that is why Personal Injury Lawyers advertise

Ken- I am deciding whether or not to get another bike. If I do it will absolutely have cylinders sticking out the side. Police Oilheads are tempting, however. Highly visible, inspire fear, lots of places to mount extra bright lights and noisemakers. Fun stuff.

That does sound like a lot of fun. One would be tempted to wear a shorty helmet, sun glasses, and a military style white shirt over blue pants, maybe with a stripe up the outside of each leg. And don't forget the polished boots.
Yum!!!

I don't know what you guys are thinking. I've never been attracted to the idea of riding a bike likely to make all the traffic in front of me slow down.
